The big day is fast-approaching and we are excited!
One thing we love to hear all about is how different (or similar) everyone's Christmas Day routine is. Because whether you’re up at the crack of dawn, or spending the day lounging in your pyjamas, we know everyone has their own traditions - and we can’t get enough of them!
So, we had to ask our Lounge HQ’ers…
How do you spend Christmas?

Gio - E-commerce Manager

Christmas in Italy is very traditional. We all gather around the table for 20 hours straight and just stuff our faces relentlessly. Card games and gifts are a plus. Everyone is jolly and we just have a wonderful time together.

Christmas is always spent at my Mum & Dad's with my sisters, the boyf's and all the animals! After eating double our own body weight we'll do our annual quiz (my dad always wins) and after a few too many cocktails we'll get the kazoo's out and die of laughter!

Christmas for me is fairly chilled! It usually starts with my brothers (who are 25 and 27 may I add) waking me up at the crack of dawn wanting to begin the festivities. The day mostly revolves around food, family time, films, games, alcohol and of course this year the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special.

Emily - Lingerie, Underwear & Apparel Designer

Christmas day at the Blount’s is always an eventful one… Prosecco is offered upon arrival, (and all day), and is never turned down. The real antics begin with the Christmas games tournament. We all get way too competitive and although we each try our best at every game, everyone is just too drunk!

Christmas in our household consists of mom and I heading downstairs around 9am for an early morning hot drink and waiting for my sisters and dad to surface around 10am! We put on a Christmas movie and start the log fire. We wear our shiny new Christmas outfits and prepare the dinner. Safe to say we all sleep so well that evening & wake up 10 stone heavier!

Christmas in my household means I (the eldest sibling) wake up the whole house at 6AM, pushing 6.30 if they're lucky! As I am just overwhelmed with excitement, not necessarily for myself, but just to see my family’s faces when they open the gifts I bought them.

Arron - CRM Manager

Christmas is usually spent at home with all the family. Starting with a glass of bubbly and some light snacks before moving onto the main event: PRESENTS! Then typically play some games whilst Christmas dinner is cooking, and then eat around 2pm - finished off with some wine and a horrible cheese board!*

*Arron has informed HQ he does not like cheese. We do not condone this kind of negativity at Lounge.

Kiran - Paid Media Manager

Christmas in the Bains household consists of my Dad running around like a headless turkey (haha) to make sure the turkey is in the oven at precisely the right time! Then he does nothing else for the rest of the day. Whilst my sister, mom, and I make the table look cute and my brother strategically puts out the crackers.

Sophie - Talent Manager

It is family, friends, cheese boards and yes... shrimp on the BBQ! In Australia we have the air-con on full-blast and end the day by the pool - our Christmas jumpers are swimmers with Candy Canes on them. To every British person's shock we do still cook a roast… just minus the Yorkshire puddings.

Lydia - Junior Paid Media Executive

When I was younger I’d wake up really early, run downstairs and open my presents. Then get ready in an outfit I'd obviously been given for Christmas (super glam even though I was spending the day in my living room…) This year I'm hoping to get super drunk, eat LOADS, and then watch the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special.

Jack Humphreys - Operations Manager

Once my brother has woken from his hungover state we all sit around and open presents!

We always spend Christmas day at my Aunties where she gets really stressed cooking for 15 people. Once we've eaten we have a few obligatory board games and retire to the lounge where we usually end up watching Titanic (Christmas classic that is almost guaranteed to be on TV on Christmas Day)!

Georgia Perry - Recruitment & Staff Happiness

Bradley (21-year-old brother) walks in as my little brother Ethan (11) is waking up because Santa's been (adorable). So my wake up call is usually half 5/6 - no time to sleep...

We go to my sister's house for food, games, and family time. She puts on all the goodness! Picture this; sausage rolls, picky bits, crisps, mini platters, CHEESE, and cake for the kids. After we have eaten we play all the games (Uno is a classic) and enjoy a glass of baileys!

So, now we’ve told you, we want to know… how do you spend Christmas!?
